Re-Connections Launches on 15th October 2025

Re-Connections by Miriam Drori is a collection of thirty-seven stories of connecting, disconnecting and reconnecting, which will be published with Ocelot Press on 15th October 2025. The book will be available as an ebook and as a paperback.

From now until launch day, the ebook will be available for pre-order on Amazon at a bargain price (depending on where you are). Here’s the link.

Miriam writes:

Written over all the years of my writing career, these stories show how much this topic has interested me. I’ve often wondered how some people make friends easily while others struggle to find any, and why so many marriages and partnerships break up, often after many years. Even more surprising are relationships and friendships that resume after a breakup.

Some of the stories are wholly or partly biographical while others are totally fictional. Moods range from sad to uplifting to humorous. Story lengths also vary.

A few of the stories have been published in various anthologies and are republished in this collection with permission. Most are seeing the light for the first time. I’m delighted to see them linked together in this new collection.

Re-Connections for your enjoyment.

A New Historical Romance Forthcoming from Jennifer C. Wilson

We’re excited to announce a new border reiver historical romance from Jennifer C. Wilson. The Warriors’ Prize will be launched in June and is available for pre-order on Amazon Kindle.

Stirling Castle, 1498
Visiting court for the first time since her father’s death, Lady Avelina Gordon finds herself drawn to the handsome warrior, Sir Lachlan MacNair. But as a woman who has seen too many of her friends lose everything for ‘love’, she keeps her heart guarded.

Castle Berradane, 1502
Lady Avelina is unceremoniously told to expect her new husband within the month. The man in question: Sir Lachlan.

Lachlan arrives in Berradane carrying his own secret, and a determination to control his heart. As attraction builds between the couple, they find themselves under attack and fearful of a traitor in their midst.

Can the teamwork they’ve shown in adversity so far pull them through one final test, and will they find the strength to risk their hearts, as well as their lives?

You can pre-order the Kindle edition now, and it will download automatically onto your e-reader on publication day, 16th June. Nothing to pay until then!

And, if you haven’t already read Jennifer’s earlier border reiver romance, set in 1470s Northumberland, The Raided Heart, you’ll find that on Amazon, too, in Kindle and paperback editions.

We’re delighted to announce the publication of three new titles this autumn, with more to come later on.

Sue Barnard’s Nice Girls Don’t and Finding Nina were launched last week. These two stories about family secrets are linked but can be read as standalones. They are available in Kindle and paperback editions from Amazon.

Jennifer C. Wilson’s A New Page is a collection of historical short stories and poems featuring characters from kings to witches. A New Page will be released on 5th November 2022. You can pre-order the Kindle edition, and it will be downloaded automatically to your e-reader on the launch date.

We are also looking forward to releasing the first of Miriam Drori’s series of murder mysteries, Style and the Solitary, this autumn. Stay tuned for more news about that.

Augustine is Released Today

We’re excited to announce that Vanessa Couchman’s novella, Augustine, is released today on Amazon Kindle under the Ocelot Press imprint.

Augustine is a prequel to her Alouette trilogy, and it’s set against the rolling hills and perched villages of Southwest France in the late 19th-century. Vanessa lives in southern France, not far from where the action takes place, and there’s plenty of period detail woven into the story, drawn from her researches and knowledge of the area. The backdrop is a way of life that lasted for centuries but has now disappeared forever.

In the book, you’ll meet Augustine Bousquet and Joseph Vernhes, who appear again in Overture, Book 1 of the Alouette trilogy. Augustine can be read as a standalone or before Overture.
